Stress Management Ideas For Children?
I did a search on here before posting, and all the other topics deal with work, marriage…grown up ways to deal with stress.
Can anyone suggest some ideas for children under stress, like while at school?

Throw them in your car and head up for a weekend on the farm. BBQ under the stars and the horses to entertain them. Seriously, I would love to meet you, but that is not helping now. Children are like adults when they are troubled. They want to be validated. I know you make special time for your children from your posts, but if one child is needing a little extra attention from you or Dad, by all means, do it. That is not spoiling. My kids are grown now, and the three of them were having the age old debate about who was Mom’s favorite. When the teasing stopped, my oldest daughter said Mom’s favorite is whoever needs her the most at the time. Sometimes just validating their right to feel negative is a break through. Then you have a common ground from which to explain why we don’t act on all of our feelings, but you can’t get there without acknowledging their feelings.
Depends on if there is a particular stressor or not. Kids that experience trauma such as a natural disaster can benefit from art therapy, in particular.
For the stressors of life in general, a structured and predictable routine, lot’s exercise away from TV and playstation, reasonably healthy diet, and lots of laughter are the best thing around.
If not yoga then look into martial arts. Be sure to investigate to find out if they stress meditation and relaxation as part of the program.
