How To Use Xp Mode On Win7 Ultimate? What Does That Do Exactly?
Hi I just installed win7 ultimate 64 bit. some of my games cant run on it though but I heard that ultimate has a so called xp mode and so its like running your stuff on xp but actually on win7 ultimate. How does that work? Should I also have win xp for this to work or not? If i do have win xp AND win7 ultimate 64 bit will they interfere in anyway? help me pls

Are the games not running because of Windows 7 or 64 bit? If Windows 7 then XP mode MAY help (http://www.microsoft.com/windows/virtual… If it is because of 64 bit then nothing you can do.
XP Mode in windows 7 provides XP itself as a VM.
XP mode give you a virtual windows XP machine inside of Win7. It’s a real XP so anything you ran on XP will run. AND since it’s essentially a standalone XP machine you need to install your antivirus software there also.
I use it every day with Win7x64 and it works perfectly and I simultaneously run 64bit apps in regular Win7 windows. Download it from Microsoft.
Note that XP mode takes an extra 1G ram so if you only have 2G you should probably consider upgrading to 4G
